Adulting is STRESSFUL!

Last week was stressful. I had four different assignment due on different days and I would be doing homework from early in the morning until I went to work in the evening. Then when I would get home I would usually work on it some more if I wasn't too tired. I was tired of looking at the computer screen. I also was aware that I needed to make another blog post. On top of homework there were some other stuff I wanted to do. I wanted to get my hair and nails done and I had to also deal with some bills. It felt like I didn't have enough time to get anything done. The day I went to bed early after being up all day I was woken up because I had to take my mom to the ER. I ended up staying up there with her all night. I'm grateful she's okay though. Everything was normal. Then my hair wasn't turning out right so I was stressed out about that. I was a big ball of stress for a few days and it was not fun.

However, strangely enough even though it was a stressful week it was also easy at the same time. I was fasting so I was only eating fruits and vegetables for that week. I thought it would be harder doing the fast but it wasn't. I had a harder time doing the Daniels fast. For those that don't know what that is its basically a vegan and sugar free diet for three weeks. It surprised me how easy it was eating just fruits and vegetables. My best friend helped me with my hair because what I wanted to do to it wasn't working out. She stayed up until three in the morning helping me with my hair which was so sweet. I was still able to find time to get my nails done and I finished all my homework. The best part was after all of that I went to the JonnyxMali concert. Jonathan McReynolds is one of my favorite gospel artists. I got to take pictures with him and I was in the front of the crowd so I could see really well. The concert was AMAZING. I really enjoyed every second of it. There was a lady there who was watching out for me the entire time. She offered to buy me a soft pretzel and she made sure I could see the stage (I'm really short lol). She was nice enough to hold my spot while I went to the bathroom too. It was such a great experience.

Sometimes life happens and its easy to sit in your stress or sadness. Its easy to get overwhelmed by all the things you have to do. But I'm glad that my best friend kept me encouraged. I was able to do everything I wanted to do and at the end of a hard week I was able to let loose and have some fun. It actually reminds me of a song from Jonathan and Mali's new album. Its a song called Adulting and its very relatable because being an adult is hard. But I'm grateful that through it all God is right by my side.
